The AESC group is a world leader in the development and manufacture of high-performance batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

Recently established in the Hauts-de-France region, the factory at Lambres-lez-Douai aims to start mass production in early 2025 to supply the Renault plant in Douai with modules, in accordance with the contract signed between the 2 companies.  Around 1,000 people will be needed for this 1st phase.  The project is therefore in line with the “Batteries” priority of the PIA4 “France 2030” programme and in support of the “Produce 2 million electric and hybrid vehicles” priority.

Staff skills are a major issue, so AESC will be putting in place an extensive and rigorous training programme for its engineers, technicians and operators.
