REPURPOSING – RECYCLING
BETOBO repairs, reuses and recycles batteries for electric vehicles (micro-mobility to date) via its Petit Quevilly workshop, and is involved in a large-scale project to recycle all batteries type.
As of January 2022, 1 200 micro-mobility batteries has been repaired or reused which represents 4200Kg of batteries. Betobo Petit Quevilly workshop has generated c. 100K€ turnover over the 2023 year.
Betobo works for both B2B and BtoC clients encountering battery problems (electric bikes and scooters etc.) B2B clients are composed of cities and regional entities such as Havre metropole, Rouen metropole, Saint Nazaire etc. as they deploy electric bike fleets.
Betobo also works alongside electric bike sellers and directly with BtoC clients
The large-scale recycling project mainly consists of a nationwide roll-out of the business, coupled with Betobo industrial partner’s and its existing facilities.
Betobo is currently developing a partnership with an existing actor of the recycling sector. The industrial partner manages at least 5 French industrial sites, deployed among the French territory.
Betobo is currently doing both equity and financing fundraising in order to invest and finance its 1st industrial machine on the 1st recycling site. Post investment, Betobo should be in capacity to recycle at least 1200 tons of battery / year (less than 50% machine productivity retained in order to remain conservative over the business plan)
Betobo is projecting to recycle at least 1 200 tons of battery per year, and account on both SCRELEC and COREPILE 2026 request for proposal (call for tenders) to collect these volumes
In addition, BETOBO is involved in both its local and social environments: the company employs especially employees encountering difficulties to find jobs.
The company already has an RSEi label and is currently applying for the ESUS label.
